Box Type Solar Cooker Optimization by Hybrid Types of Thermal Heat Storage Systems

Abstract:
Solar cookers are one of finest and primitive technology of ancient era where people used to cook food from direct sunlight but with various fossil fuel cooking technology and trends coming into the market the foremost usage of solar cooker comes to an extinct but it was always a prime topic for the researchers of present ages to revive the usage of this solar cooker and take this towards new innovation in solar cooking technology. Box type solar cookers were the most convenient solar cooking technology from the ancient ages and even in modern days at the villages. This carries direct relations with solar radiations, atmosphere temperature, wind speed and humidity, and overcast conditions. Hybrid types of thermal heat storage systems means to use latent heat storage materials as well as sensible heat storage materials together to store the direct heat and later supply to the solar cooker in need. This helps solar cooker to be used even in overcast atmospheric conditions as well as in late evenings. These techniques have been used also by various researchers with different type of materials as some use acetic acid and stearic acid as latent heat storage materials and some only rocks pebbles etc. To maximise the profit of heat storage technology we will be using Phase change materials – paraffin wax and sensible heat materials as magnesia rocks, granites etc. This two type of storage systems can increase the effectiveness of solar cooker so that it can be used in late evenings and nights. The charging and discharging of this heat in this hybrid storage system if can be increased will give prime effectiveness to the Box type solar cooker devices and solar cooker can be optimized
